Summer Camp

Our home away from home!

We are blessed that the Northeast Illinois Council has our summer camp, Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan Scout Reservation, up North in Wisconsin. 1929 will be the 100th anniversary of camp!

Ma-Ka-Ja-Wan is actually 3 camps on two properties – two traditional Scouts BSA summer camps on either side of a wholly-owned lake, and a horse ranch & high adventure base across the street. In all, over 1000 acres of forest await to be explored.

Troop 671 attends summer camp at East Camp every summer during week 1 of camp, which is typically the last week of June. We always return to the Sioux campsite, and you can find evidence of camp improvement service projects our unit has completed all throughout East Camp.
